Amy L.Kaminski, Ph.D

 Clinical Psychologist

Growing up is hard even under the best of circumstances, but most children manage to navigate this difficult time period to grow into healthy adults.  Unfortunately, some children and teens face more serious challenges and may need the extra support of a professional.   Dr. Amy L. Kaminski is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Arizona.  She specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, transition aged youth, and families.  Dr. Kaminski also works individually with parents and other adult family members.

Throughout the years Dr. Kaminski has provided psychotherapy and assessment to children of all ages and has come to understand that it is only with the support of the family can children reach their full potential. It is with this knowledge that she has come to encourage family involvement in her work with children and adolescents.

Each individual is unique and after a careful assessment a treatment plan will be tailored to address the presenting concerns. Dr. Kaminski therefore utilizes a variety of approaches to psychotherapy, including the following.

  • Parenting Support
  • Cognitive Behavioral Techniques
  • Humanistic, Person-Centered Therapy
  • Healthy Expression of Feelings
  • Development of Healthy Coping Skills
  • Imagery
  • Play Therapy
  • Sand Tray
  • Relaxation Techniques
  • Social Skills Training
  • Diagnostic Assessment

Sometimes parents need help too.  Dr. Kaminski also works with both men and women individually to support them in their efforts to improve the quality of their lives.  Dr. Kaminski's work with adults is primarily focused on parenting.
